Does the trail mix taste like beans?
Not at all! Since our beans are roasted to perfection and smothered in delicious flavorings, they taste crunchy and sweet, while still providing you with all the health benefits of nutritious beans.
Is the trail mix allergen friendly?
Our product itself is free of major allergens including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, nuts, wheat, and soybeans. Although nut and allergen friendly, Absurd Snacks is not produced in a certified nut free and allergen free facility.
Is Absurd Snacks certified nut-free?
Our trail mix is not certified nut-free as it is not produced in a nut-free facility. Although we do not use nuts in any of our products and our manufacturer only processes wheat and soy products, there is always a chance for cross contamination.
Is Absurd Snacks certified gluten-free?
While oats are inherently gluten-free, there is always a chance for cross contamination at our manufacturer. We recommend that those with celiac do not consume Absurd Snacks at this time. However, those participating in a gluten-free diet by choice should have no problem consuming our trail mix!
Where did the inspiration for Absurd Snacks come from?
One of our co-founders has a serious peanut and tree nut allergy, and he wanted a high protein, low in sugar snack that was safe for him to eat - so we made one ourselves! We’re proud to say that Absurd Snacks are only sweetened with pure maple syrup. No refined sugars here!
Is there a way to buy single bags on your website?
We only sell two-packs on our website at the moment. However, if you live in the Richmond area, you can purchase singular bags at a number of different grocers in the area.
